After attending school at Geraldton and studying accountancy at Curtin University, David qualified as Chartered Accountant. He further obtained a Graduate Diploma in Business Computing (Curtin University) and Associate Status from Australian Insurance Institute. He has a Certificate in Real Estate Management.
He was appointed accredited mediator with the WA Supreme Court. He is a registered with the Commonwealth Government (Tax Practitioners Board) as tax agent.
He was employed in various positions in3 of the big 6 international accounting firms in Australia and England. Clients included major multinational mining companies, banks, insurance companies, retail groups, manufacturers and service groups.
He was the accountant and company secretary for the Monadelphous Group of Companies involved in the area of engineering, construction and the manufacture of mining equipment and vehicles throughout Australia and New Zealand. He led the Royal Automobile Club group corporate finance and forensic accounting teams liaising with WA Government and insurance entities.
He was the Operations manager with Foodland Associated Limited. He held contract consulting, accounting, audit and systems for the Myer Department Stores and accounting firms.
David a nationally recognised specialist and commentator on company auditing of Australian business companies and has a high level of accounting, systems, financial and practical business expertise.
He was appointed to the Board in June 2017, becoming a Vice President and trustee He is one of the 4 “responsible persons” acceptable to the Australian Taxation Office
He is married to Marie and has two adult daughters.
